Legal updates and commentary

About

Thanks for checking out my site. This blog deals with legal issues. It will  highlight recent decided cases and offer brief case summaries like this interesting judgment in a high profile case involving the Director of Public Prosecutions and a Senior Resident Magistrate, and also include  news, comment and interesting developments in Jamaica, the Caribbean and further afield on various issues to do with the law. An example here is my post at the start of the new session of Parliament calling for an active Parliament.

I’m Dionne Jackson Miller, a Jamaican journalist for nearly 20 years, and an attorney-at-law. I host a daily radio programme, “Beyond the Headlines” on RJR 94 FM (www.rjr94fm.com) from 5.30 – 7.30 Mondays – Fridays, and a weekly television programme  “All Angles” on Wednesdays at 8.30 pm TVJ (www.televisionjamaica.com).
